Robert was diagnosed with secondary Lung & Bone cancer in February 2000, and fought hard and bravely against it until he died a few months later in May 2000.

His positive attitude and braveness so typify my Dad and his outlook on life. He had such a strong faith in Jesus Christ and was faithful member of the The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was such a good example and many people admired him for the good & caring person he was. I am making this memorial for my Dad, because he means so much to me, and I love him and miss him very much. He always had a listening ear, and sound advice, and cared so deeply about us making the right choices in our lives. He was a sincere person and kind to everyone. He had alot of very loyal customers in his business. He was a very spiritual man, who taught me to base my choices and decisions on direction from God. He was supportive of me in all the decisions I made, even the mistakes I made, even though he knew it, he stood by me at all times. I am grateful that he allowed me to learn this way, and was always there for me when things would go wrong. I am grateful that he accepted my husband, from the minute he knew that I wanted to be with Travis he knew it was the right thing for me to do, even though it meant I would be leaving England and moving thousands of miles away to be with him. Thank you Dad for the unconditional love and support you gave me, Mum, and all the rest of my brothers and sisters. I Miss You so much Dad xxxx

Christmas Memories

Dad, Christmas is coming and it will be almost 9 years since we lost you (next year). It seems like just yesterday, but I still miss you so much all the time. Thinking of you lots and lots, and enjoy the great fun Christmas memories we shared as a family. Your crazy last minute Christmas Eve rush to Woolworths to buy presents & treats) ;D And your wacky family photo setups!! Doing nativity shows for you and Mum. I tell the children stories of their grandpa all the time. Wish they could have spent time with you here on earth xxx

My Brother

You probably know by now that John & I got married on the 6th September, I really wished you could have been there, but I know that you would have been really happy to see me so happy, taken a while eh!I wish you could have met John, you would have really liked him.
Sadly Caroline was not up to a trip to Doncaster, but the side was well supported by Michael, Christine & Family and Jenny, Peter & Elisabeth, what a lovely family we have.
Love you heaps and miss our chats!

Dad

Thanks Amy for setting this up. I want to add my love for my Dad, who was my counsellor, security, example and friend. His legacy lives on in the lives of his children & grandchildren, in his personality, sense of adventure, unique humour & great faith.
We miss him so much, but are grateful to believe and know that through the plan of our Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ, we will one day be reunited again.
